GET HELP
Shower the night before your surgery. If you were given any special cleansing products, use them as directed. The morning of your surgery a nurse will also give you antibacterial wipes (this will help remove any germs still on your skin).
Please take off all jewellery, make-up, nail polish (fingers and toes), and take out piercings.
You’ll be instructed about what you can eat and drink before surgery and when you need to stop eating or drinking. If you eat or drink too close to your surgery time, it may be postponed or cancelled.
Take your medicine as directed by your doctor or nurse. If you have trouble sleeping, please talk with your doctor before your surgery.
